Major Boost for Bus Services in Melbourne’s North
10/9/25, 12:45 am

Passengers in Melbourne’s north can now enjoy more frequent and reliable travel, with Dysons’ Route 390 (Mernda to Craigieburn via Wollert) receiving a significant upgrade.
From this week, buses on Route 390 will run every 20 minutes between 6 am and 7 pm on weekdays, with services continuing until midnight on weekdays and Saturdays. Sunday services have also been extended, operating from 7:30 am through to 10 pm.
The upgrade forms part of the Victorian Government’s package of 140 additional bus services across the Craigieburn and Mernda growth corridor, aimed at keeping pace with one of the fastest-growing regions in the state.
Dysons Managing Director and CEO Andrew Jakab said the improved services would provide a major benefit for the local community.
“More frequent buses and later services mean passengers have greater choice and flexibility, whether they’re travelling for work, study or family commitments,” he said.
“We’re proud to be part of this investment in public transport that keeps our communities connected.”
The announcement follows strong population growth in Melbourne’s north, with upgraded services designed to better connect residents to jobs, education and essential services.
